This panel will feature top election law attorneys and Board of Elections Commissioners from around the state to discuss election integrity measures each candidate and county can undertake, steps the State Party is undertaking to improve the security of elections, and answers to your questions about the safety & security of today’s elections.

Panelists

Jason Sena

Jason represents public and private sector clients in government and regulatory affairs, litigation matters, land acquisition, redevelopment, public contracting, campaign finance compliance and general governance. He handles a variety of litigation matters, including those related to the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and Open Public Meetings Act, tort claims and public contracting issues, among others.

Jason serves as counsel to numerous municipal governments, local authorities and counties throughout the state. He is also an active member of his community, serving as an elected member of the Shrewsbury Borough Council and sitting on nonprofit boards.

In addition, Jason represents political parties and candidates for public office in matters related to elections and campaign finance at the federal, state and local levels. He currently serves as Legal Counsel to the NJGOP and has represented numerous political organizations and candidates in matters related to ballot position, election day issues, recounts and election contests.

Tom Crone

Tom Crone is currently the Chairman of the Camden County GOP. Tom has a strong passion for civic engagement and has been actively involved in politics for many years casting his first vote in 1984 for Ronald Reagan. In 1991, he was appointed to the Philadelphia Republican City Committee and has since worked on numerous local, county, and congressional campaigns.

He is a highly skilled project manager with over 25 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. He is a Six Sigma trained professional, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project he undertakes.

Outside of his professional and political endeavors, Crone is a dedicated member of his community. He has been a youth sports coach, band booster president, and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians for many years. Tom also sits on the Board of Governors for his high school alumni association. Tom is a small business owner and takes pride in his three adult children. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 33 years and currently reside in the Erial section of Gloucester Township in Camden County.

Linda Hughes

Linda Hughes is the Vice Chair of the Burlington County Republican Committee and the Republican Administrator of the Burlington County Board of Elections. She served on NJ’s Statewide Early Voting Implementation Committee, co-chairing one of the key subcommittees, and currently chairs the Legislative Committee of the New Jersey Association of Election Officials.

Linda served as Burlington County Freeholder from 2016 to 2018, and has served on the boards of Evesham Township Republican Club and Burlington County Republican Women. A graduate of Rowan University, her professional background is in Communications and Public Relations.

Phil Valenziano

Phil Valenziano is the Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee and oversees eleven states in the upper Mid-Atlantic and New England, including New Jersey. He has also served as the Executive Director of the NJGOP, as a campaign manager for Gubernatorial and Congressional campaigns, as a state director for Governor Christie’s 2016 Presidential campaign, and other campaigns and committees around the country. He is a Monmouth County native and Catholic University of America alumni.

Matthew Moench

Matthew Moench has served on the Bridgewater Township Council for twelve years, and currently serves as Mayor of Bridgewater Township for his second term. He served as Council President for Bridgewater Township, served on the budget subcommittee for many years on the Council. He has sat for the Board of Adjustment, Bridgewater Planning Board, Somerset County Planning Board, Regional Center Partnership, and was the President of the Somerset County Governing Officials Association.

Matthew was appointed by Governor Christie to serve on the State House Joint Management Commission, of which he was Vice Chair, and was appointed by the Governor to the State Board of Mortuary Science, on which he currently serves.

Matthew is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York and has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Districts of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Court of International Trade, and the United States Supreme Court.
